US, Russia on Poles over Mid-East Crisis

The presidents of the US and Russia have put different emphasis in their concerns about the Middle East crisis at G8 summit in St Petersburg. US President George Bush urged Lebanon's Hezbollah to disarm, while Vladimir Putin called for a "balanced" use of force. Commenting on the violence in the Middle East, Bush has made clear that he blamed Hezbollah for the fighting.
Israel has been accused of using disproportionate force to secure the release of several troops seized by militants. Russia's head of state Vladimir Putin said Israel's concerns were legitimate but "recourse to force must be balanced and it must be stopped as soon as possible".
The US President arrived in Russia's second city on Friday, and the full G8 summit will officially open on Sunday morning. Speaking at a news conference after the talks, the two world leaders said they had reached agreement on global nuclear energy, and fighting nuclear and other forms of terrorism, <a href=http://www.bbc.co.uk target=_blank><b>BBC</b></a> informed.
The United States and Russia announced Saturday a plan to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons by setting up international enrichment centres as their leaders sought to give a boost to a big-power summit.
